Our Mission Statement

                  “The Starkville Church of Christ is a Christ-centered,
                   Bible-based family striving to be like Jesus and
                         committed to sharing Him with others.”

Christ-centered

It all begins and will end with Jesus. He is where our focus is, and He is the one who can and will guide us safely home. It is our desire that He has first place in every aspect of our lives.

 

  1 Corinthians 1:23-24 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.


Bible-based

His Word is our guide. Want truth? God's Word provides it. Want direction for living? God's Word gives it. We study, apply, and strive to live out the precious words of life and hold on to the promises our Lord gives us through his Word.

 

  Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

 

Family

Families do things together. They encourage and build up one another. They share one another's joys and sorrows. While every family has its ups and downs, it is Jesus who binds us together. He enables us to overcome barriers and gives us unity and peace.

 

  1 Corinthians 12:13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free--and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

 

Striving to be Like Him

Who would you want to be most like? We desire to reflect the qualities and character of Jesus. With the Holy Spirit's guidance and strength we will ultimately be like Him.

 

  1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is.

 

Sharing Him with Others

There would be no greater privilege for us than to share God's Word with you one-on-one.

 

  Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
